Roadside Assistance Customer Service Agent

Client: Roadside Assistance

Client provides emergency roadside assistance to customers with emergency roadside assistance as part of their automotive insurance policy or their new vehicle owner’s package.

Position Overview:

As an Independent Roadside Assistance Customer Service Agent (Contractor) with RISE Call Solutions, you will:

On a day-to-day basis, agents can expect to participate in the following activities using the new and exciting Roadside Assistance Next Generation Platform (NGP):

  • 24/7 service of inbound calls for roadside assistance and other service requests
    from client’s customers and/or client account representatives for assistance with
    items such as:
    • a vehicle that won’t start
    • flat tire(s)
    • keys locked inside a car
    • vehicle out of gas
    • vehicle in an accident
  • Place outbound calls to the list of client’s service providers to secure appropriate towing assistance to resolve the customer’s needs
  • Possible outbound calls to client, client’s customers, and/or client account representatives for status and clarification purposes
  • Transfer inbound calls or outbound calls to other client-designated internal support departments or client account representatives
  • Outbound coordination with client’s service providers & possible follow-up calls for clarification and/or additional calls for secondary services
  • Probe to identify the needs of the customer based on the vehicle’s inoperable situation
  • Identify the customer’s location using Google Maps and other client tools
  • Provide policy coverage details based on the specific client program
  • Secure a Service Provider to assist the customer, based on the parameters of the policy’s program
  • Provide status updates to customers calling after the initial request for assistance was processed

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older. No degree is necessary.
  • U.S. Citizen and cannot reside in California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Wisconsin, the District of Columbia, or any U.S. Territories.
  • Ability to pass a drug test (if applicable) and a background check.
  • Proficient in English (bilingual positions may be available).
  • Must have a quiet distraction-free work environment.
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week with 5 hours (10 intervals) on Mondays and Fridays, or a combination of both

Equipment Requirements:

  • Must have a laptop or desktop computer with Windows 10 or 11 installed.
    • Dual Core 2.8 GHz or better or Intel I class or AMD Phenom X2 class or better, 20 GB or more available space, 60 GB or more of total space, 4 GB of RAM or better
  • Mac computers are not permitted
  • Dual monitors (1280 x 1024 screen resolution minimum)will be helpful but are not required.
  • Must have a hard-wired broadband internet service via DSL, cable, or fiber optic connection
    • Wi-Fi is not acceptable
    • Min. 10 Mbps download speed
    • Min. 3 Mbps upload speed
    • Max. latency threshold of 120 ms
  • Must have a cell phone with service for two-factor authentication
  • USB Wired headset (noise canceling headset recommended)
  • Capable of typing, using the internet, email, chat features, and learning client-specific software.

Training:

  • Client-specific training is mandatory and unpaid during the first few weeks
  • You will start earning during the final week or two of training
  • Training sessions are typically Monday through Friday, with both morning/afternoon and afternoon sessions available to fit your schedule
